Rich and I are off to San Juan Puerto Rico for a night, and then on to the Adventure of the Seas for a 7-night Southern Caribbean Cruise.
If there was ever a compelling reason to reserve a Suite, or get to Diamond Status on Royal, it was to avoid that line! It was literally 3 blocks long, and in scorching hear! The stevedores in San Juan Port are nowhere near as efficient as they are back in Bayonne - note to self - reserve more Suites...
Once we got through the luggage check, it took mere moments to be whisked to the check-in line and onboard the Adventure. Not so for the unlucky folks in standard staterooms. The delays at the luggage check line were at least somewhat avoidable - but NOBODY is putting their luggage tags on in advance. Royal - if you are listening - set 2 lines - 1 for the people who follow instructions, and the other for those needing tags at the pier.
Demographic of passengers is 50% locals, 50% everyone else - everyone is up for a party - that's for sure.
Stateroom is a stunner, as is the ship, which has been decked out top to bottom with the finest holiday decor! Lovely place for photos, which I am dropping onto Facebook so our clients can view the album later today.
Tomorrow St. Lucia!
