Not known for skimping when it comes to maintaining its fleet, RCCL recently completed the balance of planned renovations to the Jewel after stalling when she was caught in a hurricane in 2016.
We have splurged on an Owner’s Suite and are excited to check out all the new features including Giovanni’s Table, Izumi and our personal favorite, the new Concierge Club which our Gold Key entitles us to throughout our voyage. We are cautiously optimistic that even in Europe, Royal’s Voom high-speed internet will deliver! Onboard bandwidth that can stream TV and news from back home is a change from cruising’s notoriously slooooow internet speeds and helps avoid the endless shorex loops in their otherwise sparse channel lineup.
